A reputable, fast-growing accounting firm in the Clermont area is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their onsite team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, appreciates a small-office environment, and wants to manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients.
The team is looking for someone who can work independently, stay organized, and maintain accuracy across several client accounts.
What You'll Do
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for clients from diverse industries
- Work in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Process payroll through ADP, including timecard review and reconciliations
- Prepare and file sales tax returns, including tracking taxable sales
- Handle AP/AR, including invoicing, vendor payments, and light collections support
- Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Contribute to month-end and year-end close with journal entries and schedules
- Use Excel for reporting and financial analysis
- Investigate discrepancies and provide insight into financial activity
- Maintain organization and accuracy while managing multiple client deadlines
- Work independently with minimal supervision
What You Need
- 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop & Online, ADP payroll, and Excel
- Paychex experience is a plus
- Hands-on payroll processing experience
- Strong sales tax knowledge: tracking, filing, and reconciling
- Experience with AP/AR, billing, vendor management
- Strong reconciliation skills across bank accounts, credit cards, vendor statements, and balance sheet accounts
- Ability to perform month-end close tasks
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Comfort working independently in a deadline-driven environment
